The Finished Kitchen

The island unit is now finished along with all the decoration etc.etc.
The doors and end were made to measure locally and are an exact match for our oak unit. Needless to say Sue and I are extremely pleased. The white doors: one came from Ian next door and we had one in the loft, both of which are the correct size, so that was a bonus. Matching old units is impossible.
The solid oak top came in a 3 metre length, weighing 72 kilos, this was cut to size sanded down and oiled. It is so heavy there are only 2 screws holding it down!

Hi Sue & Stuart,
Very impressed by the kitchen, looks a super job, much better than the old unit and worth the effort and money!
We are at Hove, Flat sitting while the Fire Alarms are being tested so I logged on and had a look at your blog, I can see why you liked Angers, obviously worth a visit. We enjoyed St Hillier de Reiz very much and its on the list to go back.
See you soon Sybil and Roy
