Away days

After a week D&C suggested more adventurous trips. These involved some very hairy roads into the interior. As I don’t like heights I was very glad that David was driving. The only time I had concerns was when he was pointing out the scenery as we were going along and Carol was saying (loudly) ‘keep your eyes on the road!’ These drives took us to some fantastic viewpoints. You can get around this island in a day yet it has a mountain that is 1949 metres in height!
We did a few geocaches, one was easy, another had gone, and the rest were up large hills and mountains. We left some to do for our next visit.
I read the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown whilst away. As it says on the cover ‘a fascinating and absorbing read’ it’s the first time I have made notes on a fiction book as I was reading it. I finished it on the plane home and have started researching some of the notes I made. I hadn’t realised there are books and websites that had sprung up because of the book.
That ends the holiday stories. There is lots more to tell, but not enough time to write it all down. Hope you like the photos; you will see that Sue’s eye is almost healed.

What a handsom bunch of old folks you were away with this holiday. Disappointed not to see any banana or cacti shots. Good ones of the mountains though. Keep on blogging. We have just twigged that you have to start at the bottom of the page and work your way up!
